Background

New Islamabad Airport Project

overview

Beyond general and break-bulk cargo, the Islamabad Airport project required the transport of extremely fragile and oversized passenger jetways. This is where Sinotrans’ expertise came into play.

Challenge

The central challenge was to transport the sensitive, glass jetways with no external or internal damages along a route that involved low clearance bridges that would most definitely put the cargo at risk.

Solution

Sinotrans deployed low-bed extendable trailers to move the jetways in order to avoid collisions, and therefore was able to utilize the optimal available route.
